With relatively small efforts, we can provide an infrastructure for electric power on our major highways, thus rapidly creating conditions for reduced fossil fuel demand and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
For example, if the triangle between our three largest cities was electrified in combination with the incentive for a fast conversion of vehicles, only that triangle could mean a reduction of 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. This corresponds to just over 2% of Sweden's greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels.
